Published: 16 October, 2008

Sinn Féin Councillor for Crossmore, Mary Doyle has welcomed a recent announcement by Roads Service that they are to carry out a road traffic survey in Ballymacnab.

Cllr. Doyle said,

"After being approached by a number of constituents concerning the gritting schedule in the Foley School area of Ballymacnab I contacted road service and they subsequently agreed to carry out a survey to judge the amount of traffic using the road which passes Ballymacnab Hall and Foley School."

"This is a very busy stretch of road and with numerous children of school travelling in both private and public transport I feel it is time that it was added to the schedule for the safety of all."

"We in Sinn Féin are committed to providing a better future for all our children and with this in mind I will continue to campaign on these issues to provide a safe and better community for everyone"
