Clay Road Needs to be Gritted - McNally

Published: 25 November, 2008

Sinn Féin's Darren McNally has called for the Clay Rd. Keady to be included in the winter schedule for gritting.

Cllr McNally said,

"I have been approached by residents and parents of children who attend Clay Primary school asking for this road to be gritted. The Clay road is extremely busy during the week with school traffic and buses; the road is very steep in places and can get icy and treacherous during the winter months. It is extremely important that a road outside a school such as this one is made as safe as possible."

"I have written to the head of roads service in Armagh calling for this road to be included in the winter schedule for gritting, I am hopeful that they will take action and this road will be gritted this winter."
