Sinn Féin Cllr calls for footpath on Madden Row Keady.Published: 25 November, 2008
Sinn Féin's Darren McNally has said that a footpath on Madden Row, Keady would be very beneficial for the whole community and would make that area of the town a lot safer for pedestrians.
Cllr. McNally said,
"I have written to roads service requesting a footpath on Maddan row beside St Patrick's High School after being approached by a number of people on the issue."
I also thanked roads service for installing street lighting on the same stretch of road after I asked them a few months ago. The lights made a real difference not only to the many pedestrians who use this road for walking but also to the school children especially in the winter months. There is also midnight soccer at the school on Saturday nights which draws a very large crowd of kids. The installation of a footpath would make the road much safer for all those who use it."
