FLOODING FIXED ON BALLYBROLLY ROAD - Sinn FéinPublished: 15 December, 2008
Sinn Féin's Mary Doyle has welcomed the quick response by Roads Service following the installation of a new drainage system on the Ballybrolly Road.
Cllr. Doyle said,
"The Ballybrolly road has been flooding for a long time and I was recently contacted by a resident in the area who told me how difficult it was trying to bypass the flood whilst driving. Local people have even attempted to drain the water but were unable to fix the problem."
"I contacted the Roads Service and informed them of the problem, within 3 days a new drainage system was put in place, which has now solved the problem. I must congratulate the management and workers of the Roads service for acting so quickly on this dilemma. I will continue to work closely with the Roads service on further local roads issues."
