Local MP welcomes Investment for Newry

Sinn Féin MP and MLA for Newry/Armagh, Conor Murphy has today welcomed an announcement that a major investment by First Derivatives plc supported by Invest NI will bring £11.6 million into Newry economy.

Mr Murphy attended the launch as MP for the area and stated,

"In the current financial climate this is fantastic news for the people of Newry. This investment will create over 140 highly specialised positions and will also benefit our area as a whole as this money is largely going in to wages and salaries will naturally circulate among local businesses."

"I wish to congratulate First Derivatives, as a local company they have gone from strength to strength. This is great example of the return that Invest NI will receive from supporting indigenous businesses.
