Meeting to address Craigmore Business Park Concerns

Published: 23 February, 2009

Sinn Féin Councillor Charlie Casey met with business people from Craigmore Businnes Park and representatives of Road Service on site today at

Craigmore Rd

to address a number of concerns.

Cllr Casey said,

"Today's meeting addressed a number of issues. The main concern raised was the closure of

Craigmore Rd

from the entrance at the A1 bypass which was to facilitate the reconstruction of the bridge at the entrance to the business park. The road is being closed for 6 weeks to allow the work to be completed. There was also a concern around the lack of information and proper signage to show that it was business as usual and signage for alternative access. The DOE representatives have now taken these concerns on board and have indicated that work will finish ahead of schedule and also agreed to ensure that proper signage will be put in place. The business people present are hopeful that DOE will take concerns on board.
