Continued Success for Advice Clinics

Published: 26 March, 2009

The local Sinn Fein Welfare Rights Advice Clinic which is being held in Meigh Community Centre has enjoyed continued success since it first opened in early February. Issues which have recently come to the fore are Rates and Planning Permission; however help is there for a huge range of other issues. Whilst the clinic does not deal itself with mortgage advice, those in attendance, including Councillors Packie McDonald and Anthony Flynn, along with Welfare Experts, are able to put anyone needing mortgage advice in touch with someone of expertise. Councillors are also available if anyone needs Licences or Passport forms signed.

Many people have been able to avail of expert advice and assistance, as the clinic proves to be increasingly popular, and praise has been given to Sinn Fein for embarking on this highly practical and successful project, amidst the current economic downturn. In order to sustain this clinic people need to continue to come and take advantage of the free and totally confidential, expert help which is there for them. The last clinic before Easter will be on Saturday 4th April and will reconvene on Saturday 18th April
