Re-opening of Cinema in Armagh welcomed

Sinn Féin Councillor Cathy Rafferty has said that the re-opening of the Filmhouse in Armagh is a welcome development.

Councillor Rafferty is to attend the official re-opening with her party colleagues Cathal Boylan MLA and Minister Conor Murphy MP MLA.

Speaking ahead of the opening Cllr Rafferty said,

"This new state of the art cinema will be welcomed by all in Armagh. The cinema will be used by young people, families, couples and more.

It is also great news for the economy in Armagh as it will keep money in the area as people will no longer have to travel to Newry or Dungannon in order to go to the cinema an will bring business to cafés and restaurants in the town."
