MEP to visit Newry on 13th May

Sinn Féin MEP for the Six Counties, Bairbre de Brún has confirmed that she is to visit Newry on 13th May in order to meet a number of community groups, and more specifically those that include the elderly.

Ms de Brún is travelling to Newry at the invite of local MLA and Sinn Féin spokesperson on older people Mickey Brady.

Announcing details of the visit Mr. Brady said,

"Older people in our society face many difficulties and are denied many entitlements that most people take for granted. I am delighted the our MEP, Bairbre de Brún is available to attend the event on Wednesday so that she can hear first hand the problems faced elderly people in our town so that she can fight for their rights in Europe. Ms de Brún will also be available to answer any question which people may have on Europe and how it affects community life here."
