Sinn Féin clarify its position on proposed Carnbane development.

Sinn Féin Council leader Brendan Curran has responded to recent stories in the local media which criticised the entire Council for not signing a petition which opposed the proposed Carnbane development.
Cllr Curran said,
"Our councillors have not signed the petition as we are waiting to see a presentation by the group in the Council."
The Newry councillor added that elected representatives from Sinn Féin would be attending the public meeting on Tuesday hosted by the chamber of commerce regarding the development.
"After gathering as much information as possible on these proposals and after meeting with those who oppose and support it our councillors will make a decision on its merit."
