Armagh Sinn Féin councillor Cathy Rafferty has called for the Mayor of Armagh to host a reception for the Cúchulainn GAA under 14 hurling team and St. Brenda's under 14 camogie after both teams won their groups in the All-Ireland Féile na nÓg competition.

Cllr Rafferty said,

"Both Cúchulainn and St. Brenda's have brought great pride to Armagh City and District and as such deserve to be honoured by the Council for their fantastic achievements. I would like to congratulate both the players and the coaches for their successes, winning a competition such as the Féile takes a lot of training and preparation to bring about."

"I have written to the Mayor requesting that hoats a reception or some other event to give encouragement to the players and their backroom staff who have all worked so hard to bring about this success and I am hopeful that we will have his support."
