Hearty calls for clear entry to Rathview ParkPublished: 17 July, 2009
Sinn Féin councillor Terry Hearty has expressed concerns after being informed by residents of Rathview Park, Crossmaglen that Bin lorries are unable to enter the park due to cars blocking the route. Cllr Hearty said that in the case of emergency services needing to enter the housing estate the situation could become extremely serious.
Cllr Hearty said,
"I was recently contacted by resident who informed that the bin lorry cannot come into the park as cars are blocking the entry.
"This would present an extremely perilous situation if a fire engine or ambulance was prevented from entering the estate.
"I would call on those who park their cars at the entry of the estate to be mindful not to block the entry. It is a simple mistake to make but could have tragic consequences." Críoch
