Family shocked as lorry crashes into garden

Sinn Fein deputy mayor of Newry and Mourne, Charlie Casey has said that the community in Barcroft is shocked after a lorry crashed into a house on

4th Avenue

Cllr Casey visited the family's home shortly after the accident,

"I understand that the lorry had been parked and that there was no driver in the vehicle at the time. It seems that the handbrake snapped and the lorry rolled down the slope before crashing into the garden wall of the home.

"There has been considerable damage caused to the home - the garden wall has been completely destroyed. It is unbelievable that the lorry stopped just inches from the living room window.
