Road signage improvements at Anamar primary school welcomed - Sinn FéinPublished: 14 August, 2009
Slieve Gullion Sinn Féin councillor Terry Hearty has welcomed the recent road signage improvements at Anamar primary school.
Cllr Hearty said,
"Recently I had asked for a meeting with roads service to discuss the need for signage at Anamar School.
"These measures are required in the interest of the safety of the children attending the school as well as other pedestrians.
"The need for the improvements was particularly urgent as we approach the beginning of the school year.
"I now welcome the work of roads service and I hope that this will go some way to improving the safety of our children. I intend to meet with roads service again in the near future to discuss other measures we can take to improve the safety of the children at Anamar.
Cllr Hearty concluded by calling on motorists to be extra vigilant when approaching this area particularly at school start and finish times |
