TRAFFIC WARNING SIGNS WELCOMED IN DERRYNOOSE - SINN FEINPublished: 19 October, 2009
Armagh Sinn Féin councillor, Mary Doyle, has welcomed the erection of road signage at St. Mochua's Primary School in Derrynoose, Co. Armagh.
Commenting on the development Cllr Doyle said,
"At the beginning of August I was approached by a concerned parent whose child who attends St Mochua's Primary School in Derrynoose. This lady was worried as there was no signage at the school to warn traffic that there is a school ahead.
"I relayed these concerns to the Roads service and we had a meeting on the issue. I am pleased to say that they have agreed to erect the appropriate signage to warn of the nearby school. The signage is now in place and we hope that this positive step will be an aid to improve the safety of the pupils, parents and staff at the school.
"I would like to thank Roads Service for their prompt action in erecting these signs. I would also implore all roads users to drive carefully at this location for the safety of all." |
