Fireworks used in vandalism at Forkhill school - FlynnPublished: 30 October, 2009
Slieve Gullion Sinn Féin councillor, Anthony Flynn, has calledfor the safe and responsible use of fireworks after they were used to blow a sign off the wall at Forkhill school during the week.
Cllr Flynn said;
"Following the recent vandalism at Forkhill School I would urge people to only use fireworks in a safe and responsible manner. What may seem like innocent fun can result in extremely serious consequences.
"Just last week a pet dog in Camlough died as a result of injuries it received from fireworks.
"Cllr Flynn also criticised those who sell fireworks to children
"It is highly irresponsible of anyone to sell or supply these very dangerous fireworks to young children and I would call on them to refrain from this. If there is a fire or some child is hurt the blame will lie solely on their doorstep. |
