Sinn Féin councillor Anthony Flynn has met with Roads Service in order to ensure that that the necessary improvements to the School Road in Forkhill are carried out to a satusfactory standard.

Cllr Flynn said;

"I had recently been contacted by a number of constituents who were concerned that, although the road had been resurfaced, it had been left in a bad condition.

"I subsequently met with Roads Service and relayed these concerns to them. I have now been assured that all necessary improvements will be carried and that the road will be resurfaced properly."

Cllr Flynn added that he also met with the head teacher of the school and has since ensured that bus parking lines will be reinstated on the road.

"The safety of our children is paramount and it is essential the roads around our school are safe."
