McDonald condemns robbery of pensioner

Commenting after the robbery of an elderly woman in Cloghogue recently, Sinn Féin councillor Packie McDonald has said;

"The recent robbery was a disgraceful attack on an elderly woman and will be rightly condemned by everyone in this community.

"Unfortunately this is the latest in a long list of robberies and attacks on the elderly in this area in recent weeks.

"I would encourage everyone to check regularly on elderly neighbours and family members. I would also ask that everyone ensures that their homes are locked securely at night and that all valuables are locked away. Anyone who sees any suspicious activity should report it to the PSNI immediately."
