Bog Road Repairs Welcomed - Burns

Published: 21 January, 2010

Sinn Fein Councillor Colman Burns has welcomed the news that the

Bog Rd

at Cullyhanna is to be resurfaced in the coming weeks. Cllr Burns said, " Like many roads in the district, the

Bog Road

has deteriorated badly this winter due to the weather conditions. The people living along the road have been very patient over the past number of years as they waited their turn to get some meaningful work done to the road. Thankfully, their patience has been rewarded and they will shortly have a new surface on the Road.

Another road that will receive much needed attention in the coming weeks is the

Cloghoge Road

. Resurfacing works is due to take place on a section of this road from the

Lake Road

junction to the

Kiltybane Road

junction."

Councillor Burns continued, "Unfortunately, many roads are in very bad condition at present. Councillors in the area will continue to bring these roads to the attention of Roads Service and, hopefully, the worst of these roads will receive attention in the coming weeks and months."
