Sainsburys announce 200 new jobs at Newry call centre

Sinn Féin MP Conor Murphy was welcomed an announcement that Sainsbury's is creating up to 200 new jobs at the Newry based Teleperformance Call Centre. Teleperformance which recently secured hundreds of jobs from the Swine Flu helpline has now been awarded the Sainsburys contract which will provide helpline and customer service facilities for the supermarket's first phase of adding non-food merchandise to its website. Councillor Cathy Rafferty has hopes that with the assistance of the local community and the Spar shop on the Killylea Road a solution can be found to ongoing problems with waste recycling in the area. Armagh Sinn Féin councillor Mary Doyle has recently reported an accident black spot on the main Armagh to Monaghan road, the section of road near Madden has sharp bends which are treacherous.
