Mr. Brady's call comes after Revenue & Customs announced proposals to reduce the opening of its public Enquiry Centre (Downshire House, Merchants Quay, Newry) to just 2 days per week - a significant reduction from the current service of 5 days per week. MEP meets South Armagh farmers at National Ploughing championships

Sinn Féin MEP Bairbre de Brún commenting after the successful the all-Ireland Ploughing Championship in Athy, Co Kildare last week has said that rural Ireland needs the Irish government, the Executive and the EU working in partnership to ensure its future. LOCAL TEAM TRIUMPHS

A team from the Dromintee/Jonesborough area has come first in the Oxfam Trailtrekker challenge. The team led by Kevin Donegan completed the 100 km course in 18hrs 51mins. Kevin and his two nephews, Ciaran McMullan and Cillian Murray faced stiff competition from 96 other teams. Read full article

Ruane welcomes new uniforms for the new school term

Sinn Féin Education Minister, Caitríona Ruane, has welcomed the distribution of £844,725 for new primary school uniforms. The £35 primary school uniform allowance is available from local Education and Library Boards for parents in receipt of income support.
