Murphy attends All-Ireland Council Meeting on Transport

The North South Ministerial Council met in Dublin today in transport sectoral format. Attending the meeting was Sinn Féin Minister for Regional Development Conor Murphy, alongside DUP Environment Minister Edwin Poots and 26 County Transport Minister Noel Dempsey. Speaking after the meeting Conor Murphy said: "Today's meeting has been very productive. A range of matters were discussed including the latest position regarding the Malahide bridge collapse and the planned service re-launch due shortly." Read full article

Progress on £7.4million investment in Armagh

Sinn Féin Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy has welcomed Roads Service's progress on investment totalling £7.4million in the Armagh area this year. Speaking ahead of this evening's meeting between Roads Service and Armagh City and District Council, the Minister said: "Work is progressing well on the three Strategic Route Improvement schemes in the area, with the Edenaveys schemes at Prequalification for tender stage; Armagh North & West Link Road at Specimen Design stage; and Armagh East Link at Preferred Option stage. The delivery of all these schemes will be subject to the availability of finance at the time. Read full article

Whitecross vandalism condemned - McCreesh

Sinn Fein Fews Councillor Jimmy Mc Creesh has condemned the latest attack on public transport services in the Whitecross area. The local representatives comments came in the wake of an attack which resulted in several windows of an Ulsterbus being broken in the area last week. Cloughoge safety group recover two stolen vehicles

Local Sinn Fein Councillor Packie McDonald would like to commend the Cloughoge Safety Group for their part in the discovery of two stolen vehicles. The cars, which appeared to be parked up awaiting collection in the Cloughoge area, were removed by the PSNI on Friday. Read full article
