Hunger Strike Monument Restored

Newry and Armagh Assembly Member Mickey Brady has welcomed the restoration of the Hunger Strike Monument on the Newry bypass.

Mr. Brady said,

"It is great to see the local republican community come out together to restore the monument to its original state. The ten men who gave their lives on Hunger Strike will always be remembered with pride among Republicans and throughout the world.

"This is a message to those who attacked this monument that we will overcome any attempt by them to inflict hurt on our community and will keep moving forward stronger than ever "
