Newry and Armagh Sinn Féin Chairperson, Jimmy Fox has described the recent Sinn Féin Gala Ball as a 'huge success'.

The Gala Ball which took place on Friday 12th September in the Fairways Hotel was attended by 700 people, had a variety of entertainment and included among others, top Irish comedian, RTE Nob Nation's Oliver Callon.

Speaking after the event Mr. Fox said,

"A huge amount of work was put into the night's organisation by a very large team of people and I would like to thank everyone who has contributed in any way to making the night a huge success."

"It was great to see such an enormous crowd of people from all over Newry and Armagh and further a field come to Dundalk and show their support for our party. The night attracted a wide range of people including well known GAA figures, Sinn Féin leadership members and other well known faces."

"The food and entertainment on the night was fantastic and there was a real sense of community in the Fairways on Friday."

"Our membership work tirelessly to further the cause of Irish republicanism and every now and then it is important that we have a night which is just fun."
