Blues Café Robbery CondemnedPublished: 10 October, 2008
Keady Sinn Féin Councillor Darren McNally has condemned the robbery of the Blues Café in Keady on Tuesday night (7th).
Cllr. McNally said,
"The Blues Café was robbed and vandalised in this latest spate of break-ins in the town. The cafe has only been open for about 4 months and will now have to close due to cleaning and the time it will take to replace the damaged equipment."
"Many people in the town believe that this incident was the latest act from a gang of thugs well known to the PSNI."
"This gang has left Keady in a state where many people are afraid to walk the streets after dark. This is a dreadful situation for our town to be in and I am calling on the PSNI to intervene immediately as local people are becoming angry at this worsening situation."
"I will challenge the PSNI on their lack of response to this gang. Also I would encourage anyone with any issues regarding policing in Keady to come along to the public DPP meeting on the 23rd October and have their voices heard by the PSNI"
