Sinn Féin Councillor requests bus stop,

Published: 13 October, 2008

Keady Sinn Féin Councillor, Darren McNally has written to translink calling for a bus stop to be located in the Lir gardens/Victoria street area of the town.

Cllr. McNally said,

"I have been approached by a number of elderly residents regarding this issue, they have said that sometimes buses may stop but mostly this is not the case. If there was a bus stop in the area it would be more convenient for them to get the bus to Armagh as it passes the area anyway. There are a number of housing estates in this area with more housing developments underway, not to mention Lir fold which is sheltered housing accomodation and consists of 25 flats. A bus stop would be very benificial for this fold and all the elderly residents of the area."
