In 2005 Conor made history when he became the first Irish Republican to be elected as MP for Newry and Armagh.
In 1998, after serving as a Newry and Mourne Councillor for eight years, he was elected to the Assembly. There he has chaired the Assembly Procedures committee, was the Sinn Féin Chief Whip and also held the position of Group Leader of the MLA team.

Cathal Boylan has been an integral part of the Sinn Fein team in the Armagh City and District area for many years. A founder member and one time Chair of the McElvanna / McVerry Cumann in Keady, he was elected as Councillor, for the Crossmore ward, onto Armagh City and District Council and served from 2005 until 2008. Cathy Rafferty is a Republican ex-prisoner and has been a Sinn Féin elected representative since 2001. She is a mother of two and is married a local publican. Cathy is a prominent member of Armagh City and District Council's Regeneration and Development Committee. She is also an active supporter of the City Centre Regeneration Scheme believing that the regeneration of Armagh City is a hugely important issue that must involve a cohesive, constructive and wide range of partnerships.

Paul lives with his wife Roisín and family in Tullymore where he is a highly respected member of the community. Paul is a lifelong republican. He was instrumental in establishing the Gerard O'Callaghan Sinn Féin Cumann in Tullysaran and is currently treasurer of the Cumann. Paul was elected to Armagh City and District Council for the Orchard ward in 2001. He has held the position of Sinn Fein Council Group Leader and has earned a reputation for his commitment to the community he serves.

Pat Mc Ginn has been a Sinn Féin Councillor since 2000, representing the Fews ward. He was Mayor of Newry and Mourne in 2004-5 and is recogonised as being a committed and active local elected representative. Pat was a founder member of Fegan / Quinn Sinn Féin Cumann, Derramore. He has served on various committes of the Council and has been Chairperson of the Environtmental Control Committee on two occasions. Pat is currently chairperson of the Councils Equality Committee.

Mary was born into a Newry family with a long republican history. Like her family before her Mary is a committed republican. She moved to Armagh 18 years ago where she joined the Ballymacnab Sinn Féin Cumann. Mary has proved herself as a person devoted to her community. In May 2007 Mary was co-opted onto Armagh City & District Council , becoming the fifth member of the Sinn Féin Council Group.

Marian has been involved in the Republican Movement since the early 1970's. She was a key worker in the Sinn Fein advice centre for many years dealing, daily, with the needs of people from both sections of the community as well as new nationals. Marian has been a Sinn Féin councillor since 2004.

Brendan Curran has been involved in the Republican movement since he was 15 years old. At 17 years of age he was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment by a non jury Diplock court. Brendan was a POW in Crumlin Rd. jail and Long Kesh Prison Camp from 1973 to 1980. Upon his release he immediately became active again in the Republican struggle and was elected as a Sinn Fein Councillor to Newry and Mourne District Council in 1985. He has been re-elected every 4 years since. Brendan is also Sinn Fein's Council Group Leader.
