Pat McGinn - Newry & Mourne District Council representing the Fews Ward

Pat Mc Ginn has been a Sinn Féin Councillor since 2000, representing the Fews ward. He was Mayor of Newry and Mourne in 2004-5 and is recogonised as being a committed and active local elected representative. Pat was a founder member of Fegan / Quinn Sinn Féin Cumann, Derramore. He has served on various committes of the Council and has been Chairperson of the Environtmental Control Committee on two occasions. Pat is currently chairperson of the Councils Equality Committee.

As a Sinn Féin elected representative Pat firmly believes in providing meaningful, efficient and effective services for communities. He is a strong advocate of Community involvement in dealing with issues concerning not only the Council but all statutory agencies. Pat has also had a keen interest in promoting sport and in particular the GAA. He is one of the key organisers of the unique hurling event "An Poc Fada" which takes place on Annaverna Mountain, Ravensdale.
