Packie Mc Donald - Newry & Mourne District Council representing the Slieve Gullion Ward

Patrick (Packie) McDonald is a committed republican who has lived all his life in Drumintee. In 1993 he was elected to Newry & Mourne District Council as a Sinn Fein councillor for Slieve Gullion ward.
He is a self employed joiner who is a GAA enthusiast and avid Armagh fan.

During the last 15 years Packie has served on various Council committees including Planning, Environmental Services, Sports Development and Community Safety partnership. He has a keen interest in environmental issues and recycling, which are major projects for the Council. He is also keenly involved in supporting local community safety groups.
